Iceman was admitted to North Hills hospital today with what appears to be failure of a heart valve that was put in when he was four. They will be running procedures tomorrow (Tuesday) to see if they can look at the valve. They will make further decisions based on these tests.
He is very sick and not in a condition for visitors at this time.
Please keep him in your prayers. Will keep you updated as we receive more information.
Aussie, VP – Patriots MC – Riverside
*UPDATE: 10/6/2009 Roo just got back from the hospital and Icement is responding well to his medication. He is sitting up and talking. Still not sure about next steps.Aussie
*UPDATE: 10/8/2009 Iceman will be leaving hospital tonight to go home. He may be there for a couple of weeks so the infection in his body can be managed before they can operate.
No cigars, no Crown.

10> Bikers for Bikers 8th Annual Halloween Rally – Magnolia – Oct 23-25

Date: 10/4/2009
From:
bikersforbikers@yahoo.com

Happy October every one!
This is just a reminder to all. Please keep Bikers For Bikers
Halloween Rally open on your Schedule. The 24th through the 25th of October 4, 2009 should be the best das of fall for Bikers for Bikers.
While April was dismal due to the weather, I want to thank all that braved the rain and cold to attend. Also thanks to the vendors that showed there support, knowing the weather would not lend itself to a big turnout. We have high hopes for the October rally. We need your support now more than ever.
A reminder to all , Bikers for Bikers is your opportunity to help Bikers in need of emergency help. It is you who makes it possible and it is you who decides who will take this organization into the future. With Your support and votes for the board members you have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who are truly indeed of emergency assistance.
I promised to keep this short so I will get out of here for now, I want to see all of your smiling faces at the Oct Halloween rally . if you have any ideas for the  web site please feel free to e-mail me at
bikersforbikersw@yahoo.com
One more thing.  The 20th annual Bikers for Bikers Rally is coming next April. We are looking to do a special patch for the event. Please submit your Idea by the Oct rally date so the board and rally attendees can  vote on the best design

See ya there

13> Accident Scene Management Classes – Bridgeport – Nov 7

Date: 10/7/2009
From:
snowman41279@yahoo.com

i would like to invite everyone to come out and take the crash course for the motorcyclist classes on nov 7th and 8th the from 9 to 4:30 each day.  a simple fix to a very common problem. motorcycle riders love to ride and often would rather take the back roads to get to where they are going where advanced help if one goes down is a 20 to thirty 30 minute wait.  in this time a traumatically injured person can be killed or permanent damage can occur.  all to often we find decent citizens wanting to help which is good but without trauma training they may not know what they are doing and there’s is a good chance that they do not know how to remove the full face helmet from a rider who is not breathing   after completing the crash course for the motorcyclist class you will have the training to take care of your fellow rider when he goes down until the paramedics arrive   this tranning will cost all of 90$ for both the basic and advanced classes. these classes yeild c.e.u’s for nurses and emt’s through the ancc and on the 6th we will have a professional class for emts and nurses from  6 to 9:30.  you must register on line at http://accidentscene.org/schedule.htm#tx  i hope that we will see all of you that can at this class the laquinta inn at bridgeport has graciously donated the use of their conference room and have a special rate of $79 per night for rooms and you can contact them at 940-683-2040 they are located at 2000 10th street. you may call me at 940-389-0200 or denise at 832-385-5232 for more information

NOTE: there was a Newspaper Article from the Jena Newspaper but the link won’t work unless you subscribe to the Jena Times newspaper online. They say it’s free but it was not accessible without an actual subscription account number… so we just posted the feedback from this article since it pretty much tells whats goin on in Louisianna at this time ~S&B

This effects all bikers wearing leather Vests and Jackets. They did not take the time to identify the type of patches that Bikers Wear. They just stated Bikers with Patches on their Leather. That includes all of US! Good, Bad, and Indifferent! They just told the Public to make them aware of all of us, and then I Guess they’ll sort it out. All we need is bunch of Rednecks out gunning for us because we are on Motorcycles. Profiling is illegal of any kind! Hwy 165 runs through Lasalle Parish and four of the Communities Mentioned in the Article, and the Parish Correctional Facility is on Hwy 165. Hwy 165 is our thoroughfare to Arkansas, Memphis, and the Casino’s in Northern Mississippi. Remember this is the Community that couldn’t even take care of One Incident at School without getting the rest of the Country Involved!
Please contact your Representative about this Illegal Profiling. Remember Cancer Starts as One Cell and then Grows!
Ride Safe and be Aware of your surroundings!

Also, Hwy 28 has a small part of it in LaSalle Parish. That is where they stopped a couple of our friends after the Chance’s Poker Run Saturday before last. Just thought all of you might want to know. I put on my HOG vest and rode through Jena last Saturday several times. I did not get stopped, but had a lot of people looking. They have stopped some bikers, and as Rodney wrote, they have informed the citizens to "basically keep a watch out for us". I have already contacted some people and the more we sound off, maybe, something good will come from this. Ride Safe

My nephew and his cousin was coming down LA-28 two friday evenings ago.  The LaSalle Parish deputy’s had a road block set up stopping motorcycles.  They were told to empty their pockets and saddle bags and drug dogs sniffed through all of their stuff.
They were then asked where they were coming from, where they were going, and who were they going to see.  They were asked who they rode with over in Jena.  They said nobody.  We’re from Hickory Grove and were going to see my uncle.  They then wanted to know who the uncle was (which is me).  They were really checking out the tatoo’s on the nephews cousin too.
I ride with the Combat Vets, so I guess they’ll be hasseling me next.
